Founded in 1988, initially as a risk management and fixed income institutional asset manager, BlackRock is by far the world’s largest asset manager, with just over $9 trillion in assets under management as of June 2021. BlackRock operates globally with 70 offices in 30 countries and clients in 100 countries.

 

Designer

Established in 1935, MJ Flood is the largest indigenous supplier of copiersdigital technologyoffice furniture and interiors for the modern office environment.

 

Problem

The nature of Blackrock’s work meant they needed a secure solution for personal storage they would feel confident using. Having implemented an agile workplace, their concern was having agile workers leaving sensitive information out whilst working at a hot desk. Also Blackrock wanted to avoid employee time wasted making numerous trips to and from the locker.

 

Solution

Hotbox Origin solved both problems. A portable secure filing cabinet workers could take from locker to desk. It includes reconfigurable dividers for storing confidential information and hanging files. In addition, a combination lock helps to keep personal data protected, providing extra security and reassurance. It gave Blackrock the reassurance they were looking for knowing private and confidential business papers were secure and data protected with the lockable mobile storage box.
